MediaCow Touch 2 - Part 17

April is already coming to an end. Leaving me less and less time to finish this project.

Once again, I am getting sick of this project and I want to get it over with at this point.

The LattePanda Mu Free Trial Event... again

After asking if I could enter the Free Trial event again even after receiving the development hardware in during the 2024 Free Trial event, I was told I could.

Filling out the form was easier since now the project had already been started and much of it has been established. I was able to give a much better description of the project and what I plan to do with the LattePanda Mu.

Since the rules do state:

I do not expect for the project to win, though what I have described is the new MediaCow Touch 2 Lite which is a variation of the project I was working on before; MediaCow Touch 2.

I checked later on, and I can use the new variant for the Free Trial event.

Current Progress

Most of the work so far is figuring out the pins on the LattePanda Mu, documenting the 100+ nets that are connected to the Mu directly.

On April 24, I ran into some issues with Git on the HP laptop that I usually do work like this on, which was likely related to changes I have not committed to the repository. Since what I had on the other laptop, the T430s, was newer, I just removed the directory and cloned it again, but this somehow caused the same issue with Git. I may just copy the files to the desktop and try to figure it out from there since on this day, I went through the process of drawing the symbol for the BQ25723 battery charger IC which took a while to do and I really do not feel like doing that again.

I did something I have not done before while drawing the symbol for the BQ25723. I used a campus library computer to pull up the datasheet for the chip, where I lifted up the monitor to where it is above the laptop screen. Since I document every computer that I worked on the project with, even indirectly, the library computer is now included in the credits with its hostname included.

The Setup

Documentation

I am aware that many pages do not appear in the project page for MediaCow Touch 2, but I am working on it.
