Personal

With time and exhaustion being an endless struggle,

November 7-8 NoVA trip

As per plans set up a week before, I drove up to Woodbridge to see my now-ex "boyfriend"; he never was that to begin with. I knew him online since August and did not actually see him in person until November 1st.

It was starting to become clear that this man was not looking for an actual relationship with me. At some point, the Netflix and Chill fell apart and both of us were sickeningly uncomfortable with each other. It was almost midnight and I really did not want to stay the night with him so I started driving back towards Richmond. Noticing that Micron Technology Manassas was somewhat close by, I decided to drive there since I had the opportunity and I wanted to take my mind off what just happened. On the way to Micron, it started to rain hard.

The rain lightened up by the time I got there, though it still made things difficult to see. At this point I knew I should not try to drive the 100+ miles back home while I was exhausted and slightly intoxicated at midnight, while it is raining. For some remote spark of reassurance, I put a ECC UDIMM with actual Micron US-diffused DDR3 DRAM on the dash to make it look like that I could have been an overly enthusiastic employee. I laid down in the back seat, falling asleep to the otherworldly but comforting whirr of the DRAM plant.

I woke up at around 6-7 AM to sunlight as the rain has let up. I noticed it was my chance to do the wojak-style meme point selfie at Micron Manassas as I did with the signs for Micron in Clay, New York about this time last year. Following this, I started the journey back home, which there is not much to write about.
